Introduction
Since 2002, the Department of Education at Incheon National University has developed excellent master, doctoral, and combined master-doctoral degree programs to provide students the professional background. Our graduates have found careers in the K-12, college, business organization, and other various academic institutes. Based on the foundational education perspectives, this department has tried to develop the professionals in education field. Furthermore, The Department of Education is going to make efforts pursuing highest level in academic research.
The Department of Education at Incheon National University has provided the excellent academic experience in six fields. These fields include educational administration, educational curriculum, educational technology, gifted education, counseling psychology, and human resource development. Also, students will be provided with interdisciplinary research experience that develop graduate scholar competency in education academic field.

Goals
The Department of Education is to promote excellence, opportunity, and leadership among professionals in the field of education, including professionals employed in secondary and postsecondary education institutions, social services, employee organizations, and private sector businesses.

Principles
- Major subjects of department of education are educational administration, educational curriculum, educational technology, gifted education, counseling psychology, and human resource development.
- Graduate students have to select the advisor before the start of 2nd semester.
- Graduate students have to take at least 2/3 major courses.
- Graduate students have to take at least four courses expect their own major in foundation of educational administration, foundation of educational curriculum, foundation of educational technology, foundation of educational psychology, foundation of educational statistics.
- Before taking the comprehensive exam or submitting the dissertation proposal, students have to get approval from the advisor.
- The candidacy for a doctorate degree requires at least one published or accepted paper in renowned academic journal.
